I am guessing so, since he was already at such a high spiritual level of realization as a Bodhisattva on the 10 stages that he'd have some sort of clairvoyance or intuition. Not to mention most of these past lives being in India/Dharmic cultures, which have a pervasive acknowledgement of rebirth!
