If there is a cause - ignorance that leads to harm on all levels - why can’t there be a cure, and end to that ignorance? Especially if millions have attained that cure, and even successfully shared it across cultures and countries?

Happiness may be better rephrased as well-being. If there’s a deeper reality that is permanent, wouldn’t the well-being of reaching it be permanent, too? We could finally rest in a reliable ease, stability, and truth. This is “nirvana,” the goal.

All suffering isn’t really equal unless you see it from the lens of its origin - in ignorance - but perhaps I misunderstood what you were trying to say. Regardless, I hope I’ve shed a little bit of light on this!
