Each one is a seed, bound to bear fruit when water & sun hit.
Circumstances are merely conditions — the real cause of happiness or suffering is the pile of seeds we carry.
What does this look like in daily life?
Let’s say your boss yells at you. Now, did they make an imprint in your mind, or did you yourself do that, with how you grasped onto what was experienced?
- Their delusional emotions expressed themselves in sound waves.
- Their mental conceptualization became intonation.
- You registered it all as a mental idea.
If you had the perfect mindfulness of a liberated soul freed from karma, it would be heard & cognized only for what it was: sound and deluded mental intention from their side.
But what we habitually do is overlay stories and reactions onto what we experience. We suffer twice!
Not one single imprint magically…
