I'm so glad you wrote about this. Education itself comes from the latin root "educe" which means to draw out [the best in someone]. I don't think that's what's going on today in America...

And it's so strange to see all other cultures and civilizations of humanity slapped with the label "traditional" as if our current society isn't also a tradition; albeit a much less ecologically sustainable one.
