Interesting!! I've also read about another cobra test, this time (I think) from Padmasambhava: that if you find your meditation drifting into laxity and laziness, imagine what you'd do it there was a cobra that made its way into your lap. You'd flick it away as fast as possible, which is the same response we should have for lethargy. Quite an opposite use of the cobra!
