It could be that you simply cut to the essence of the point of emptiness, and see how concepts about it as a philosophy can get easily “reified.” I myself feel uneasy with certain texts like Jay Garfield’s overly philosophical translation of the middle way, and have preferred more experiential accounts such as the book by Rob Burbea. I think it’s important to study just as a way to further one’s direct experience, rather than study and then try to manufacture the experience that those words are pointing to.
