Thanks for this encouragement! And that Sakya lama I mentioned actually told me that it’s better to read, contemplate, and meditate on the texts than to wholeheartedly rely on one teacher. I found it to be quite the wake up call, and it has rung true even after having found potential teachers. We really must walk the path ourselves, and build the inner muscles to do so.
