As for a very short answer, spirituality is about developing experience in insight, as opposed to intellectualization. That obviously manifests as greater aptitude in relationships, careers, even chores. And there's a systematic path to get there (many paths) so that we don't get lost or sidetracked. Though for beginners, worldly goals are opposite to spiritual goals. I think the journey is about gradually making them one!
