This reminds me of the old parable of the baby elephant who grew up in the circus with one of his legs always pegged into a stake in the ground. When he was an adult, he had the strength to escape, but never had the belief it was possible, and so never even bothered to try. Kind of scary to think how much of these limiting beliefs we carry around having been indoctrinated in a truly anomalous period of human civilization, where postmodernism means all art is dead, and hyper-consumerism which normalizes the breaking of spontaneous human bonding...
